Feature Management:

This podcast covers tools within the FeatureManager to help navigate and organize your designs withing the SolidWorks environment.  The goal is to lay an organization foundation for next week's show about a beta tool called Vuuch.  Topics covered:

- FeatureManager toolset

- Utilizing the Flyout

- Tools for the Rollback bar

- Find and GoTo

- Filter search

- Design Binder (journal & attachments)

- Adding comments

- Folders

- Tags (take a look at Tagger)

With the FM being the starting point for everything we do in SolidWorks, it is no surprise that it is also the source of the unorganized nature of our models.  There are many tools to help us get a system in place to not only organize but to navigate these complex designs more efficiently and assist us in communicating exactly what our design intent was along the way.  I hope some of these tools can help get you organized, not only for your own sake but especially for those of you that need to work in a team environment.  I will be expanding on what else can be brought to the table when you can collaborate even more with this new revolutionary tool called Vuuch next week.
