This is the PDF of my notes and pictures taken on Day 3 of SolidWorks World Conference 2009. This has been a tradition of mine to post my notes and every year I try to add a bit more than just my written notes. This year I was able to have screenshots and details I have not had in the past. When it comes to SolidWorks World there is really only one day that everyone continues to talk about and that is day 3’s General Session. Always falling on a Wednesday, this is the day that SolidWorks Corporation gives the attendees of SolidWorks World a sneak peak into the next release of SolidWorks.  This year it was SolidWorks 2010 and unlike year’s past, the What’s New presentation was not themed, but instead was centered around two companies that design unique products, TerraFujia and Magenn.
TerraFugia is in the midst of building the first aircraft/automobile conversion allowing its passengers to fly into an airport and simply engage the transmission, fold up the wings and drive to their next destination.
Magenn is an innovative wind turbine manufacturer that creates “lighter-than-air” turbines that are filled with a lighter than air gas that allows them to ascend this tethered device to the altitude best suited for wind energy generation.

Overall it was a great preview and I look forward to see what features make the final release as well as the impact that "Brainstorm" will have on SolidWorks 2010! ~Lou
