SW Labs - Treehouse:

In this episode I talk about the new handy application introduced on the SolidWorks Labs site called Treehouse. Topics covered:

- Newsflash - SolidWorks Labs also makes Collada Export available!
- Introduction
- Interface
- Options
- Custom Properties
- Limitations

SolidWorks Labs does it again with an innovative 1.0 tool that gets us all thinking about product design planning. I use a few organizational tools in my job which is why Treehouse caught my interest. I think tools that could help in better planning of design structure can be extremely useful. I have not personally used the SolidWorks partner product SolidMap, which is a tool to better understand existing relationships in SolidWorks but Treehouse is the opposite take on this mapping of dependancies.

For another great review, check out Alex Ruiz at The SolidWorks Geek who did a great summary of the application with screenshots! This application is extremely small and works with both SolidWorks 2008 and 2009 so get to planning! ~Lou
